Andy Strugnell
Head of Health & Safety Compliance
Andy joined Primmer Olds B.A.S from MS Associates (Safety) Ltd being brought in as Head of Health & Safety Compliance, to work within the Building Consultancy, but also to support the whole company on all matters associated to health and safety. Andy has 33 years of experience and his main responsibilities were providing H & S advice to retained clients; providing CDM support work to Clients, Principal Designers, Designers, Principal Contractors and Contractors to ensure they fulfil their duties under the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015 for a wide variety of construction projects, including housing, commercial and M & E work; producing method statements, risk, COSHH and manual handling assessments; assisting with SSIP accreditations for clients; teaching health and safety courses including, CITB Site Safety Plus courses, IOSH courses, manual handling, asbestos awareness, abrasive wheels, work at height awareness; conducting workplace safety inspections for a variety of clients; and conducting workplace audits.
Outside of work Andy enjoys playing the guitar (badly), most sports (watching only, these days) and spending time with the family and our two dogs (who cost a fortune).
