Stamp Duty is a significant tax on the purchase of land or property. We have added this useful tool to assist you calculate the amount you may pay.

The way rates are calculated for residential property in England and Wales was changed on 3rd December 2014. The former structure has been replaced by a progressive scale on all transactions over £125,000.

Please note the calculator works on basic purchases and does not take into account the purchase of second homes and investment/buy to let purchases for which there is now an additional rate.
