Our Senior Surveyor
As an introduction to the team here at Primmer Olds B.A.S we plan to tell you about our team members within our news feed.
We would like to introduce one of our most recent Agency members, Tom George as a senior surveyor. We interviewed Tom to find out a little more.
Interviewer: ‘Tom, what is your professional background?’
Tom: ‘I started my property career working for a corporate residential estate agency in various offices throughout Hampshire. I was with them for four years before I moved across to a Winchester based surveying firm in their agency department. I worked across all business sectors focusing on the Hampshire and Surrey Regions. I advised corporate and independent clients on various acquisitions and disposals of leasehold and freehold property. Some notable acquisitions included Enterpriese Rent-a-Car’s Southampton Central site, a 40,000 square foot industrial leasehold property for an electronic component company in central Winchester and a number of large freehold office buildings suitable for conversion under Permitted Development Rights.’
Interviewer: ‘What about your role at Primmer Olds B.A.S?’
Tom: ‘At Primmer’s my role sees me working alongside Duane on the Investment and Development side of agency. My role is relatively equally split between acquisition and disposal work. I source clients suitable investment or development opportunities dependent on their strategy and give advice various factors that affect value. The other side of the role is acting for landlords or developers to dispose of their asset by sourcing the right purchaser to achieve best price.’
Interviewer: ‘Apart from your work Tom, what else do you enjoy?’
Tom: ‘Outside of work I love travelling, exploring new places with a few drinks on the way. I’m also a keen snowboarder and try and get away yearly if possible. I turn my hand to a few sports and play squash and golf, although hacking it round a golf course can be more of a chore than a hobby!’
